- Is Hyperpedia® Avilix® Digital Library really free?
Yes it really is! People want to know why we don’t charge for such amazing software and how we can afford to give it away.
Hyperpedia Digital Library 2000 is used to search for books in the online bookstore, organize and search those books and read them. In order to encourage customers to try our product we give it away along with a free book. To encourage our customers to purchase our books and authors to provide their work we wanted to make it as easy as possible for everyone to have access to our online eBookstore and the books within.
Hyperpedia’s income is derived from the sale of individual books and not the powerful software used to read and organize it.
- How much do eBooks cost?
Books vary in price. Many factors influence a book’s price including length, whether it is illustrated, translated, etc. The average eBook ranges from 5.95 - 9.95. Some specialty books may cost considerably more.
The best way to determine prices is to visit the online bookstore within the application or, from here, sample book listings on our Web site.
- What eBooks are free?
Hyperpedia® is offering many eBooks free. These are, for the most part, digital versions of public domain classics. Collecting these books is a wonderful way to build your library with fine editions of great literature.
Besides classic fiction there are many free classic books in all fields from psychology and philosophy to mysteries and science fiction.
- What platforms does Hyperpedia® Avilix® Digital Library run on?
Hyperpedia Digital Library 2000 currently runs on IBM or compatible PC’s running Windows 95/98 or later or Windows NT 4.0 or later. It is a powerful 32-bit MS Windows application.

An Apple Mac version of Hyperpedia Avilix® Digital Library is currently being developed and versions for other operating systems are being considered.
- Is Hyperpedia Avilix® Digital Library Y2K compliant?
Yes it is. It was designed, built and tested with the most sophisticated development tools including Microsoft compilers and other reliable third-party development tools and components that are Y2K compliant themselves and are designed to create Y2K applications.
Most Y2K problems are expected to occur in older software that was created before there was an awareness of the Y2K issue.
- Can I Access the eBookstore without using Hyperpedia Avilix® Digital Library?
